About the event
The Cultural Caravan proudly presents Adjei Abankwah and friends in an electrifying performance of traditional West African music and dance. Multi-talented artists from Ghana will be joined by members of Boulder’s Mokomba Ensemble for an unforgettable evening led by master artist Adjei Abankwah, a former principal dancer of the National Ghana Dance Ensemble. Come ready to experience vibrant and colorful costumes, centuries-old rhythms, and dynamic choreography.
This event is a partnership between the Cultural Caravan and BaoBao Foundation. The BaoBao Foundation is a Boulder-based nonprofit dedicated to building inclusive community in the US while creating opportunities for communities in Ghana. Their primary project is the BaoBao Library, which since 2017 has provided access to literature, technology, and educational programs in Santa Maria, a suburb of Accra, Ghana.
