This year, the Cultural Caravan partners with The Arts HUB for a series of four intimate masterclasses with our season's resident artists. The lineup for this year's series is:

Thursday, January 18: Ramakhandra

Ramakhandra, balancing a fusion of jazz hip-hop and soul with intricate classical styles, take participants through their creative process, the evolution of their musical identity, and more in an intimate, interactive masterclass featuring conversation and games.

Friday, Feburary 23: Leonard Jacome & Friends

Leonard Jacome is a globally-celebrated harpist who brings together musical influences from all over the Spanish-speaking world. An experienced teacher and the inventor of his very own harp, he will discuss how all aspects of culture are communicated through music.

Thursday, April 4: Art Lande & Friends

A jazz legend with over six decades of experience performing with and writing for jazz greats, Art Lande has published books on the subjects of musical communication and improvisation. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from one of our most respected elder statesmen in jazz.

Friday, May 10: Josh Halpern and Yannick Rafalimanana

This duo features cellist Josh Halpern, who frequently collaborates with renowned artists around the globe and with orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic and pianist Yannick Rafalimanana, who trained at the Paris Conservatoire and is now in demand as a chamber musician throughout Europe and the United States. They will dispel myths of the classical world and take participants through the process of putting together a piece of chamber music.

These classes are free but donations are welcome. All proceeds go to support The Arts HUB's musical programming.
