Postcards carry memories, footprints of travels, and moments of awe, joy, and nostalgia. Placing our collected experience into these tiny paper frames to share with those we love, we send and receive them from the ends of the earth. In this program, we travel to different parts of the world, experiencing music from Finland, Sweden, Bulgaria. With compositions by Karmanov, Rachmaninoff, Mahler, and Brahms, we intersperse postcards sent and received—some delightful, some poignant—that capture those unparalleled moments that make up the precious collections of our lives.
